Complex Primary Hip Replacement

Background

Not all hip problems can be treated with a straightforward hip replacement. Some conditions have abnormal femoral or acetabular morphology, that require specialised techniques and implants.

  • Residual hip dysplasia
  • Avascular necrosis
  • Perthes disease
  • Protrusio acetubli
  • Previous Slipped Upper Femoral Epiphysis (SUFE)
  • Previous osteotomies and hardware.
